Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about the Australian GTA 6 launch.
Is there a disc in the physical edition?
No. Every physical retail box — Big W, JB Hi-Fi, EB Games, Amazon AU — contains a digital download code, not a disc. You need an internet connection to download and install the game regardless of where you buy it.
Whether you buy in-store or digitally comes down to whether you want a box on your shelf. The content you receive is the same either way.

When is GTA 6 coming to PC?
No PC release date has been announced for Grand Theft Auto 6.
Based on Rockstar Games's pattern with past titles, a PC version has historically followed the console launch — GTA V arrived on PC roughly 18 months after console, and Red Dead Redemption 2 came to PC around 12 months after console. That said, Rockstar Games has not confirmed a PC release for this game, and those past timelines are a pattern, not a guarantee.

Does my GTA V progress carry over?
Yes, in part. Rockstar Games has confirmed a one-time migration path for players moving to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. You will be able to transfer your GTA V Story Mode progress and your GTA Online characters and progression.
Further details on the migration process will be shared by Rockstar Games closer to launch.
